Founder and President James W. MacFarland is uniquely qualified to provide brokerage services for conservation, environmental and recreational lands to public, non-profit and private buyers. Mr. MacFarland's previous real estate experience includes acquiring property for The Nature Conservancy in Ohio and Virginia, establishing national estuarine sanctuaries nationwide, and overseeing Florida's Conservation and Recreation Lands and Save Our Coasts land acquisition programs. He recently negotiated several of the largest and most complex acquisitions in Florida, including the world famous Silver Springs attraction, and one of the first conservation easements in North Florida. He also has provided real estate consulting services to the National Park Trust and Apalachee Land Conservancy. Mr. MacFarland is a licensed Florida real estate broker who holds BA and MA degrees in Economics from Long Beach State University, Long Beach, Calif.

Percy W. (Pete) Mallison, Jr., joined Conservation Properties in October 1999, after having served from 1988 to 1999 as The Director of Florida's Division of State Lands, responsible for overall supervision and control of the state's CARL and Preservation 2000 programs. During his tenure, Florida acquired more than 700,000 acres of conservation land valued in excess of $1.5 billion. He also oversaw the state's program for leasing public land to both government and private lessees for such uses as farming, mining and marina operations. Mr. Mallison is a licensed real estate salesman who holds BA and JD degrees from Florida State University.

Finance and real estate expert Ellen F. Cunningham has been involved in the marketing and financial aspects of real estate transactions for more than 20 years. She previously served as a land acquisition agent for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and Florida Communities Trust, where she successfully negotiated the purchase of more than $200 million worth of real estate. Ms. Cunningham has specialized in the sale of water front properties, including the well-known Blue Springs in Madison County. She has a B.A. degree in Finance from Georgia Southern College and is a licensed broker/salesperson.
